Valerie Conner’s creative journey began at New York University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Poetry in 1993. Soon after, she founded her own theater company in Manhattan, creating a stage to share stories that inspire and connect. Her passion for communication later led her into radio and television, where she built a career spanning over thirty years. Valerie has been in a loving partnership with her husband, Tucker, for the past eighteen years. They divide their time between Southern and Northern Arizona, starting each morning with gratitude for the life they’ve built. Through her writing, Valerie invites readers on two very different literary journeys. Her first book, ‘The Shattered Glass’, is a memoir of loss, resilience, and the will to survive. Her second, ‘In and Out of the Rabbit Hole’, tells the harrowing story of her stepdaughter Laura’s struggles with mental illness and addiction. At the core of Valerie’s work is her strong belief in the power of hope, even in the face of adversity. She aims to remind readers that, regardless of the challenges they encounter, there is always a light to be found.
