Vadim is an accomplished researcher and a published writer with over 20 years of experience working in the domain of Information Theory. His early research interests included data and information visualization with applications to molecular properties of matter. Vadim later joined Lockheed Martin Advanced Technologies Center as a senior research scientist. Vadim’s research focused on the narrow area of information science addressing the challenges of automation of reasoning and inference for military intelligence applications. This was Vadim’s first brush with the technical components which became the foundation for the future of digital identity: semantic web and ontological reasoning. Vadim published several academic papers on the subject, two provisional patents, and a college textbook chapter. During the second part of his career, now as an entrepreneur and a venture capitalist, Vadim built a service platform which relied on identity proofing to promote trust within a service marketplace. This work later led him to join GlobaliD, a trusted engagement platform building the future of self-sovereign identity. Among other things, Vadim was responsible for managing the credentials marketplace platform and an ecosystem of identity verification providers across multiple domains of human identity. Vadim is a public speaker and a frequent webinar guest exploring the concepts of the future of digital identity and entrepreneurship.
