Born and raised in the sun-soaked desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Veronica has always carried a restless love of movement and discovery. At twenty-five she headed north to Colorado, a place that captured her heart and continues to draw her back no matter where life takes her. Along the way she explored new chapters in Oregon and Georgia, before embarking on her greatest adventure yet making a home in Italy, where the gentle rhythm and unhurried beauty of everyday life inspired her to write her first book.

A lifelong travel-obsessed explorer, Veronica delights in the cultures, landscapes, and quiet lessons each journey brings. Equally animal-obsessed, she shares life with a lively household of four beloved pets—dogs Shelby and Peppy, and cats Autumn and Liam—who add joy and chaos to every day.

Veronica has spent many years working as an accountant and occasionally indulges her creative side through web design. A lifelong musician, she played the cello throughout her youth and still returns to its rich tones whenever inspiration calls.
Above all, Veronica treasures her role as mother to a daughter with an extraordinary soul. In her writing, she captures the magic of new beginnings, the bittersweet beauty of endings, and the quiet wonder of a life lived across continents, with paws and passports always close at hand.
