Ng.Nicole Duong is the pen name of Wendy (Như-Nguyện) Duong, the author of the trilogy novels on the Vietnamese-American resettlement experience: Daughters of the River Huong, Postcards from Nam, and Mimi and Her Mirror (published by Ravensyard, Ltd. and AmazonEncore/Lake Union). In March 1975, as a high school national valedictorian, she won the Republic of Vietnam's Honor Prize in Literature, one month before the Republic became defunct as Communist North Vietnam took over Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City). She writes novels both in Vietnamese and English, and is also a bilingual poet, cultural essayist, and L'Art Brut self-taught visual artist. A graduate of University of Houston and Harvard Law School, she was a former judge, international corporate lawyer, and law professor. For decades, she combined her full-time law career with the part-time pursuit of the literary and performing arts until she returned to Texas in 2013 to help take care of her parents. BIOGRAPHY IN VIETNAMESE: Ng.Nicole Duong là bút hiệu cuả Dương Như Nguyện, tác giả cuả bộ ba tiểu thuyết: Con Gái cuả Sông Hương, Bưu Thiếp Cuả Nam, và Mimi Với Tấm Gương Soi, xuất bản bởi RavensYard và AmazonEncore/Lake Union từ đầu thập niên 2000. Tháng ba, 1975, trước khi tốt nghiệp trung học, Như-Nguyện nhận giải thưởng Danh Dự Văn Chương Phụ Nữ Lể Hai Bà Trưng cuà Việt Nam Cộng Hoà. Như-Nguyện viết tiểu thuyết bằng tiếng Việt và tiếng Anh, đồng th̀ời sáng tác thi ca song ngữ, bình luận văn học nghệ thuật, và tự sáng chế vẽ tranh không trường phái với chất liệu riêng cuả mình (L'Art Brut). Tốt nghiệp luật ưu hạng từ Đaị Học Houston và Harvard, tác giả hành nghề luật, làm việc cho chính phủ liên bang, là cựu thầm phán và cựu giáo sư đại học trong nhiều thập niên trước khi trở về Texas để gần cha mẹ già (song thân là Giảng Sư Ngữ Học Dương Đúc Nhự (Đại Học Văn Khoa Huế, Saigon) và Giáo Sư Việt Văn Nguyễn Thị Từ Nguyên (Trần Quý Cáp Hội An và Đồng Khánh Huế).)
