After years of striving towards his dream of playing in the NFL, Trahern (Tron) LaFavor became a professional football player for the Chicago Bears. However, he was released after his first season. Relying on his faith to guide and support him, Trahern (Tron) then returned to school and completed a master’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in marriage and family therapy. Trahern (Tron) is also a licensed marriage and family therapist in Florida. He served for five years as the team clinician for the Miami Dolphins, and using his experience with the NFL and in his new professional career, Trahern (Tron) has worked with NBA players and their transition processes. He currently, supervises an Award Winning Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Team in Sunrise Florida, where he works with abused and neglected children at Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options (JAFCO). Trahern (Tron) is an ordained minister, works extensively in the faith-based community, and is happily married with a wife and wonderful sons of whom he is exceedingly proud.
