My books now are written and marketed under the David Thomas Stone logo. This is a small group of creative writers who work closely together on story ideas and marketing. More information on books, sample audio and more here: www.davidthomasstone.com Here's a link to a recent YouTube interview with a lot of background and discussion of current projects: Ric Barton’s This Week in America: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLEcYt1LO7E I’ve told people for many years I never decided what I wanted to be when I grew up. I tried being a lot of things: Radio DJ, TV news anchor, documentary film producer, youth care worker, landscape nursery owner, technical writer, entrepreneur. But I’ve never held but one job more than about two years. Maybe I never grew up, you think? I’m 78 years old now, fifteen years “retired,” and I’ve decided on my next job: Fiction writer. Oh, I’ve written fiction-like pieces throughout my career, short observations, or descriptions of people I met or places I’ve been, sometimes prose, sometimes poems. But beginning in 2021 I began seriously trying my hand at fiction. The first public evidence of that is my first book of short stories, The Courier and Other Tall Tales, But wait, there’s more! My friend Stan Brock, famous for his long-running television show Wild Kingdom and for founding Remote Area Medical (RAM), asked me to help him edit and publish his autobiography, All the Cowboys Were Indians, which I did. You can find it at Amazon as an audio book. Stan also asked me to edit and publish his fictional story, Seed of the Assagai, available on Amazon (Check out Stan's Author page: www.amazon.com/author/stanbrock) Now let's go back to the future, in a way. In 1982 my future business partner and I met during a project to raise money for a Stan Brock movie. That didn’t work out, but David asked if I’d help him with a novel he wanted to write. We worked on that several months, then got sidetracked with business: US Internet, and Idleaire (You can look those companies up – kind of interesting). Then in 2021 we decided it was time to get back to writing. Our first joint novel, The Legend of the Jerawoc, is out in 2022 and that collaboration resulted in many other planned joint writing projects. So, we are publishing them under the pseudonym David Thomas Stone (David and Tom, get it?). Look for future projects by author David Stone (David Thomas Stone).
