Toby Crain has always enjoyed writing, having written poetry since the early ‘80s. Transformed by the truth of the Gospel in 1999, he has continued to write faith-based poetry, while adding to his writings the periodic articles that appear on his website as a journaling mechanism for his ongoing study of Scripture. An avid reader, Toby has devoured works by fictional authors such as Tom Clancy, John Grisham, Joel C. Rosenberg, and Lee Child. But after being exposed to the apologetic book "I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be An Atheist" (Norman L. Geisler and Frank Turek, Crossway 2004), he was hooked. “Being able to have coherent arguments regarding any discussion of faith is vital,” Toby remarks. “Faith must not be blind, and one must know the truth of what he’s been taught” (1 Peter 3:15). Now, he reads and recommends several apologetic writers and speakers such as Frank Turek, Sean McDowell, Greg Koukl, J. Warner Wallace, and Ken Ham, the CEO of Answers in Genesis. While Toby maintains regular employment as a web developer, he still writes in his spare time. He and his wife continue to celebrate their partnership of nearly 35 years, while enjoying the ongoing gift of family & friends, along with all the pain and joy that comes with them. They continue to live in Southern California, whether they like it or not.
