Tim Welch, LPCC, NCC, MAC, BC-TMH, has spent more than two decades working in mental health and addiction counseling. But 2Bits isn't written from the safe distance of a counselor's chair.

It comes from the other side of it.

Welch writes about addiction, anxiety, shame, relationships, faith, belonging, and the uncomfortable contradictions that shaped his own life. His work doesn't offer a perfect recovery story or pretend that every wound eventually becomes something beautiful. Instead, he writes about what remains—the mistakes, scars, quiet victories, and fragments of understanding gathered along the way.

He continues to work as a counselor while writing and creating resources centered on recovery, emotional survival, and the complicated work of becoming more honest with ourselves.
