In my first book, Simulation Theory, I look at the mysterious area in psychology of how we predict the behaviour of others. This has deep and wide implications for all the ways in which we interact. My second book is called The Psychology of Successful Trading. I continue on from the basis of the first book but also incorporate real-world trading experience. I show how an understanding of your own psychology and that of other market participants is critical for market success. In my third book, I again use the psychology of behaviour prediction but now apply it to military history. In The Unknown Enemy, I show how errors predicting the behaviour of others can explain an array of military case studies where surprising command decisions led to surprising defeats. My fourth book, Cash-Trap, is nominally fiction, but that's just to avoid getting sued. It is heavily inspired by actual events. It's about the exploits of a financial detective called Jack Burgoyne. I am currently drafting my fifth book, to be released later in 2025. It's the second Jack Burgoyne novel, entitled Love Fix. I have PhDs in particle physics and philosophy (psychology) and in between I was an investment banker.
