Tim founded Sales Academy Ltd in 1995 with his friend Steve Clark and together they built a business that stretched around the world. Tim has worked extensively in the hard-hitting results orientated world of sales development where ideas, methods and approaches are tested objectively against real measurable results every day. Running programmes and workshops for thousands of delegates the approaches developed at Sales Academy Ltd had to work. Many of us seem to struggle to make simple changes even when we know they would significantly improve our lives. This happens in any endeavour and it's almost as if we are artificially limited by our own thinking destined to remain in the same place doing the same things for the same results. Tim says "How to make change happen effectively for busy people became our key drive. Our delegates, consultants and trainers all contributed to an understanding of how individuals can make long lasting positive change to get the results they want or need. This came from watching and comparing excellent performances with those that generated average or poor results. Over the years we sold a lot of developmental programmes to corporate clients. Whatever the programme was called or whatever it was designed to ‘fix’, ‘enhance’ or ‘improve’ the real subject matter was about how people could change if they chose to (or if they had to). As a result, we’ve developed some clear understanding of how to incorporate positive changes into daily life." The Misaligned Monkey website is where we are concentrating what we have distilled from working with thousands of people globally. If you had never attempted change in yourself or others you might expect this to be a simple process: We identify what we want to be different, we identify what changes would create the differences we want and then we incorporate the differences into our ongoing habits and routines. But it doesn’t often go like this in practice. He became convinced that every human's ability to change was determined by only two elements: - Their relationship with their own thoughts - Their beliefs about how things work The first book – The Misaligned Monkey - provides a road map to ensure your relationship with your own thoughts works to your advantage it’s a new approach using the core theories found in good development programmes globally and it gives you an arsenal of tools and a proven method to change your internal landscape.
