Tim Carpenter is a retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent and the former head of the FBI’s Art Crime Team. Over a 30-year career, he led some of the Bureau’s most significant cultural property investigations, recovering thousands of looted and stolen objects across the globe—including Willem de Kooning’s Woman-Ochre, Norman Rockwell’s Lazybones, and the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz.
