Tom is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong community builder whose work reflects a deep commitment to faith, family, athletics, and supporting individuals with ADHD. After earning advanced degrees from the University of South Carolina, Tom has spent decades serving in education, coaching, sales, leadership, and civic engagement. His steady, mentoring presence has shaped classrooms, locker rooms, board rooms, and church communities alike. He has shared his faith and compassion with young people through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Young Life and has faithfully served his church as a deacon, elder, and Sunday School teacher. As a former city council member, Tom lives by the belief that meaningful service starts at home and extends outward. Married for over 5 decades, Tom is the proud father of two children and a grandfather of four, two of whom have ADHD. His first-hand experience walking alongside his grandchildren and supporting loved ones with ADHD has given him a personal understanding of both the challenges and the unique strengths of neurodiverse families. That perspective fuels his writing. Tom is the author of three, practical, hope-filled books: "Raising Kids with ADHD", "Women Can Thrive with ADHD", the "ADHD Adventure Workbook" for kids ages 5-7. Each offers real-world strategies, encouragement, and tools families can use right away. Through his work, Tom aims to help families feel understood, empowered, and optimistic - one small meaningful at a time.
