Terry Witty is a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, papa, coach, teacher, and friend. He is a family man first and a very loyal friend. He coached various sports throughout his career and fatherhood including baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, softball, and track and field. He is proudest of the fact that he served as a high school basketball coach for 34 years, the last 33 years as a head coach.

He loves all sports, but his passion has always been basketball. He usually attends the Colorado High School State Basketball Championships and is obsessed with March Madness and the Final Four and heads numerous pools for the tournament. He has attended more first, second, and regional round games than a person can count and has attended 12 Final Fours.

His life centers around his family. His extended family includes his brothers and sisters and their families: Mack, Mike, Barry, Merry, Pam, Pat, Peggy, Paul, and Pris. Many of his stories center around them. His immediate family consists of his wife Renee, his daughter Lindsey, his son Luke, his granddaughter Josalyn, and his grandson and mini-me Cole, all of whom helped immensely with his book.
