Her second book, "The Remarriage Manual" is based on interviews of 100 couples and her own experience and was the winner of "The Best Book Award" for Self-help Relationships in 2020 and the winner of the 2022 Independent Publisher's Book Award in Gold for Self-help.
Terry's forthcoming book "Let's Talk About Money: Low-Conflict Conversations for Couples" helps couples adopt a mindset of "us against the problem" instead of "us against each other." Money is the most common cause of divorce as couples often clash over spending habits, debt, and financial priorities, rooted in differing beliefs and past experiences. These arguments are rarely about money but reflect deep-seated fears, insecurities, and values formed in childhood. This book shares real-life stories of couples who overcame financial struggles by learning to communicate openly, have regular money talks, and rebuild trust, ultimately strengthening both their financial health and emotional connection. It also gives couples the tools to create shared financial goals such as buying a home, getting rid of bad debt, saving for retirement, and estate planning.
Terry's book "Daughters of Divorce" is based on her study of 326 daughters of divorce. It can help readers recognize and overcome unique emotional issues that parental divorce creates so they can build the happy, long-lasting relationships they deserve. Terry's second book "The Remarriage Manual" explains that love can be sweeter the second time around if couples have realistic expectations and ditch emotional baggage from their first marriage.
Terry is in private practice in Rhode Island, where she meets with dozens of married and remarried couples for therapy. Follow her on X at movepastdivorce, Facebook at movingpastdivorce, and Blue Sky at MovePastDivorce
