About the Author Teresa Brown, author of the collection titled ““Anointed Words for Appointed Moments” that includes; A Taste of Poetry, A Taste of Words, A Taste of Helen, Grandma’s Magic, and A Day with Grandma, to name a few, was born on February 28, 1972, at Greene County Hospital in Eutaw, Alabama and is a native of Epes, Alabama. Raised by her grandmother, Helen, from infancy, Teresa deeply appreciates the love and care she received, even if she did not fully understand it at the time. Though her professional background is in accounting, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL, Teresa’s journey has led her to embrace her passion for praying, writing, teaching, and singing. She spent over 20 years working as an accountant for major companies, including Waste Management, Regions Bank, OneMain Financial, and the Federation of Southern Cooperatives. While she found fulfillment in her career, she felt a calling to explore other creative and spiritual pursuits that includes ten (10) years of Educator experience, adding another dimension to her journey of personal and professional growth. Teresa believes that when God places something in your spirit, there is no avoiding it. Embracing her purpose as a poet and author, she continues to share her words with the world, guided by faith and a love for the journey ahead.
