Ted Adams has spent thirty-five years in publishing, initially working for a variety of companies, including Eclipse Comics, Dark Horse, Jim Lee’s WildStorm, and Todd McFarlane Productions. In 1999, he co-founded IDW Publishing and was that company’s CEO and Publisher for 20 years, negotiating deals to publish Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek, and many more licensed and creator-owned titles. Under his leadership, the company won dozens of industry awards, including many Eisner and Harvey Awards. He’s proud to have been the publisher of a line of Marvel comics aimed at kids and the prestigious Artist’s Edition line, which included many classic Marvel titles. IDW purchased Top Shelf in 2015, and he helped expand the reach of their titles, including John Lewis’s March trilogy. March Book Three won the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature in 2016.
