Tami Lee Wrights is the pen name of a Black British writer who crafts cosy urban fantasy stories filled with magic, mystery, and heart. She started writing in this genre because she wanted to explore a more laid-back, comforting take on urban fantasy—one where self-discovery and found family play a central role. When she’s not writing, Tami can often be found diving into simulation games like The Sims 4 or Two Point Games, or indulging her inner geek with Transport Fever 2—which, she insists, is far more practical than owning a full model train set. Beyond books, she enjoys creating heritage blankets inspired by her Guyanese and Jamaican roots, blending flags and colours to tell personal stories through fabric. She often writes at her local library or late at night with an old movie playing in the background—preferably one she’s seen before, so she doesn’t get too distracted! Tami loves connecting with readers through her newsletter, where she shares behind-the-scenes insights, exclusive stories, and the occasional fun poll. She’s currently working on expanding the world of her first short read, with more magical adventures to come.
