I am T. J. Mullane and now being retired I can pursue my passion for writing Historical Fiction as well as Crime/Detective novels. A desire that was brought to light by my eighth-grade teacher Mrs. McAllister. I was assigned to the PS#77 weekly newsletter as a Historian reporter. This opportunity began with a zealous commitment to achieve memorable writings of days past. It wasn’t long before I was relinquished from that post. The reason was simply due to the fact that I could not resist the temptation to add in my own flair to any historical story. It was Mrs. McAllister who was quick to point out to me that if I couldn’t abstain from denying my imagination from invading the facts, perhaps I should move on to authoring novels. Hence the reasons that although my stories are taken from true events, they are written as fiction. Therefore, I want to express my gratefulness to Mrs. McAllister for planting the seed. Although my life has taken many twist and turns between eighth grade and now, the one true consist that never deserted my consciousness is my dream of seeing my work in print. Other than writing I enjoy fishing and playing golf. Sure, it sounds boring, but at 73 years old with C.O.P.D. and surviving heart surgery, I’ll take it.
