Susan Stoderl was born in Denver, Colorado, and grew up in Southwestern Kansas. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education at Wichita State University and a Master of Voice degree from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University.

She then worked in opera as a soloist, chorister, music director, conductor, and composer in New York City. She has always felt drawn to both writing and music, but she now focuses on writing. For enjoyment, she sings with her wonderful local church choir.

Susan is busy researching her next book in the Sophia of the Bright Red Sneakers series, tentatively entitled Mission 3: Convergence Point, anticipated in early 2028. She publishes a serial version of Eleven Days Toward Death, a Corrie Chester/Roger Holloway historical mystery/romance set in 1929 in a small Western Kansas town. New chapters are available twice monthly. Both the serial novel and her blog, Scribbles & Thoughts, are available on her website.
