Professor Dunningham returns in Stuart's next mystery novel that's set on a cruise ship -- "Disappearances in the Mediterranean." He uses his knowledge of cruise ships, ports of call, and the activities that take place on a typical cruise to build the drama to another surprise ending! Book #3 in the Professor Dunningham series finds the professor being invited back to Paris to help solve the mystery behind "Art Thefts in PARIS." A seemingly well-organized series of break-ins occurred on the same night there was a city-wide museum workers’ strike in Paris, France; a coincidence or an opportunity? The famous Musée d’Orsay was hit the hardest with most of their van Gogh paintings and Degas bronzes taken from their “theft-proof” frames and cases. Then the artwork was being sent back, and there were Greek letters painted on them. Why would they be returned, and what did the Greek letters mean? Mathematics Professor Alfred Dunningham, PhD, noted for solving mysteries with mathematics, is brought to Paris. He determines that the Greek letters also mean numbers, leading him to a special 11-digit sequence, and the French National Police rush to the Pere Lachaise Cemetery where more bronzes were found. The Police know whom to nab, but their suspect is nowhere to be found; was some advance notice given? Stuart has also begun a 50-book (novellas actually) series of mysteries (with co-author Troy Lambert) titled "Capital City Murders" featuring Photographer Nick O’Flannigan who is on assignment from Travel USA magazine to visit and photograph particular items in each U.S. state capital in one year. He will start in his current home state of Washington, and follow a prescribed path to spend one week in each state, doing his traveling on the weekend. Nick was hired for the assignment because of his attention to detail, an aspect of his photography that led him to found a Macro Photography website that he still runs and moderates today. As he enters each capital city, he learns of a recent murder (or murders) and there is something in the photographs that catches his eye. It is his attention to keen detail that sets him on a path to helping the authorities solve the case.
