I was raised in Bellevue, Nebraska. After graduating from high school, I made my way through Yale College and Columbia Law School. Along the way, I've been a secretary, a saloon singer, a lawyer, a fast-food fry cook, a recording artist, a commercial bakery worker, a legal educator, a warehouse teamster, a radio parodist, and a senior executive with a New York Stock Exchange company. You'll notice "author" is not on that list. I studied fiction writing in my youth with some noted writers and editors, all of whom encouraged me, but I put aside the writing life until the 2020s, when I published rom-coms WINDY CITY WILD! and IT STARTED LIKE THIS under the name Raven Easton. Under my own name, THE GREATEST NOEL: A Fantasy of the First Christmas, followed in 2023. Great Amazon reviews are nice, but even nicer is industry recognition. THE GREATEST NOEL won the 2025 Global Book Award Gold Medal (self-published) in Spiritual and Religious Fantasy. Also in 2025, WINDY CITY WILD! won the Silver Medal in Contemporary Romance, and IT STARTED LIKE THIS took the Silver Medal in Clean Romance. My current project is WORK: A Killing. The New York City Mafia stopped killing each other at the turn of the century. A single murder changes all that. I have no outside interests. If one is a writer, or pretending to be one, one had better be writing. And if one seeks to live the writing life, whether a howling success with tours and movies, or only a hobby with a six-figure Amazon ranking, that life is too short not to spend it writing and thinking.
