A story teller all my life it never occured to me to write them down, until 1993 when one of my stories won first place at the State Fair of Texas Tall Tale contest. This book started as an idea in the back of my mind in 1983, but too much real life got in the way of finding time to put pencil to paper. It was a promise to my mate of almost 30 years that got the story told. As she pointed out," this is our past and now you can make our future, so get off your ass and finish it."
