Steve Heap has been a lifelong photographer with a passion for landscapes and nature imagery. After hearing admiring comments from friends about his photos, he decided, in 2008, to try to sell them. At that time, the microstock agencies seemed to be the ideal way of making some money from these images. The first years were hard work - advice on stock photography forums is terse, sometimes nasty, and not always accurate! So, he learned as he went along, wasted much of the first two years but slowly built his income. This book, Getting Started in Stock is now in its fourth edition and shares all the learning lessons and helps any competent photographer to quickly built an ongoing income stream from the sale of photographs. As stock photography has become harder (but still profitable), he has ventured into the world of selling your work as wall art, using online Print on Demand websites to host his portfolio and manage the physical printing, framing and shipping the artwork. After four years of experimenting with the best ways to boost sales, he has now written a new book - Selling your Fine Art Photography. Photography can be fun and profitable. The opportunities are only limited by your imagination!
