After publishing his debut novel Therein Lies the Problem in 2007, Steve left the literary world behind, returning to graduate school and ultimately becoming a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. The decade-long novel writing odyssey left an indelible mark on his psyche, however, (some might even contend it drove him temporarily insane) and he remained optimistic the story would someday receive new life in another medium. With the recent explosion of Audible.com, that medium became quite obvious. After all, with it's colorful cast of characters and kinetic narrative, it was as if Therein Lies the Problem was always destined to be a great audiobook. There was only one problem -- Steve, as a narrator, lacked the range of foreign accents, the comedic timing and the overall pipes to get the job done. Not to mention the time, or the stamina ... so finding an immensely talented young actor/narrator like Doug Thornton was a godsend. The end result was a marvel of audio entertainment, as you'll surely agree. Now Steve can enjoy a sense of closure with the whole business, and go on with his life in the world of clinical nutrition. Which begs the question: Have you eaten your veggies today?
