Stephonie makes her home in a quaint farming town in eastern Iowa with her husband, their daughter (a budding ornithologist/aviculturist), a cat, a dog, and a backyard full of birds. She turned in her vast collection of fortune cookie fortunes, her paper quilling tools, and knitting needles for couverture chocolate and the art of chocolatiering. For reasons unknown getting a really good temper on a batch of chocolates makes her ridiculously happy. She is passionate about education and enjoyed visiting schools to teach classes on creative writing. She has written poetry, short stories, and dissertations, although Mark of Royalty was the first of her work that she was brave enough to submit for publication. Stephonie has taken a break from writing to focus on family but hopes to return soon to finish a book that has languished for far too long.
