Stephen R. Pratt is an acclaimed writer and director in film and television, with credits including feature films, television episodic, music videos, and documentaries. His projects have been shown to audiences in cinemas, international television broadcasts and have received official selection and top status at local and worldwide festivals. Stephen is now turning his pen to books, with Ash Forest and the King’s Gold being his debut novel. Regarding his passion for writing he states; “Middle-grade fiction particularly excites me because of the two domains between which it stands; on the cusp of adulthood and greater awareness, yet still in youth’s realm of enchantment and the infinite. And most importantly - it’s so much fun!” Stephen lives on the Gold Coast in Australia with his wife/soulmate, Tasha, and their pet moodle, Chloe. When he isn’t writing he enjoys teaching the craft of story, Ironman events and space exploration.
