Stephen R. Haynes is Professor of Religious Studies and Director of the Liberal Arts in Prison Program at Rhodes College in Memphis and Theologian-in-Residence at Idlewild Presbyterian Church. He is the author or editor of fourteen books, including The Last Segregated Hour: The Memphis Kneel-Ins and the Campaign for Southern Church Desegregation (Oxford, 2012) and Why Can't Church Be More Like an AA Meeting? And Other Questions Christians Ask about Recovery (Eerdmans, 2021).
