Stephane knows a lot of people love to read and a lot more, across all ages, could get into reading cause books have something for everybody. She also knows that much of the smartest, most interesting fiction happening at all times in any era is in that category tagged as “young adult” (YA) [teen] fiction, which is kind of misleading cause there’s so much diversity and grown-ish stuff there. Stephane is into all kinds of stories whether they’re streaming, on TV, in video games, essays, or the pages of a book; she’s been trying to write them since the fourth grade, and she’s still at it. Bio stuff. Stephane Dunn is a writer, filmmaker, professor, and cultural critic. She has written and produced several short films and teaches screenwriting, documentary filmmaking, creative writing, AA Cinema, and film criticism at Morehouse College where she helped to establish the Morehouse Cinema, Television & Emerging Media Studies (CTEMS) major. She is the author of the book, ‘Baad Bitches & Sassy Supermamas: Black Power Action Films’ (University of Illinois Press) and the novel ‘Snitchers’ (2022) Professor Dunn is a frequent moderator, commentator, and film critic who has been featured on A & E Network's 'Voices Magnified', E!
