REBRAND UPDATE

Hello Readers,

I have a little behind-the-scenes update to share with you. I’m still learning the ins and outs of book marketing, and one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned recently is that sometimes you have to stop, take a good look at what you’ve built, and admit when something needs to change. That’s where I am right now.

Because I’m the kind of person who prefers to understand things and do as much as I can myself, I’m learning a lot in the process. It’s time-consuming, but I don’t actually mind the course correction. I figure I’ll be nearly an expert by the time I’m finished. Pressure makes diamonds, right?

Of course, I want to sell books. But just as importantly, I want readers to enjoy them. My goal is for Stella Stella books to become a preferred choice when you’re in the mood for a clever, clean, cozy short story—with engaging characters, a little adventure, and a satisfying mystery.

And fortunately, I have one very important advantage: The books are already written!

All five books in the series are complete, and I truly love writing them. It’s all of the other necessary pieces—covers, positioning, websites, marketing, and everything else—that sometimes send me wandering into the weeds.


Here’s what is changing:

The Secret Island of Driftwood Cove is leaving the series.
After listening to feedback, I’ve decided that the magical elements in The Secret Island of Driftwood Cove don’t quite fit the direction of Brigit’s Cozy Capers & Mysteries.

Give The Casino Night Heist an hour of your time. I think you’ll love Brigit and her quick-witted girlfriends as they cleverly navigate their way through capers, heists, and mysteries. It’s a fast, fun introduction to the series—and a good representation of where the Stella Stella books are headed.

One thing that will not change: my stories will always be clean, and they will always be cozy.

The StellaStellaAuthor website is temporarily offline. I’ve unpublished the website while the updates are being made. It will return once the rebranding is complete and everything is in place.

The Casino Night Heist is becoming the free series prequel. My plan is to make Book 1 the free introduction to Brigit’s world and use it as the series sign-up gift for new readers. Unfortunately, I am unable to make that change until September 18. Until then, I’ve reduced the price.

There’s still a little work ahead, but I’m excited about where this is going.

Thank you for being here while I figure it all out. Whether you’ve read one Stella Stella story, all five in the series, or you’re simply following along to see what happens next, I appreciate you more than you know.

And yes—there will be more stories. After all, the writing is the part I never have trouble doing. 😉
