As a seasoned Radio and Television Host, Starlene’s most recent projects include Starlene & Hudson in the Morning and The Family Friendly Morning Show on 94.9 KLTY, where she and her team achieved remarkable success, including being the #1 rated radio program in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. A cherished member of the Salem Communications family, Starlene’s contributions have helped the station earn numerous prestigious accolades, including eight Marconi Awards and several Dove Awards. Beyond her work on air, she has showcased a diverse skill set as a Talk Show Host, News Director, Public Affairs Director, Voice Over Artist, Social Media Expert, Podcaster, Producer, Editor, and Writer. A National Best-Selling Author and Inspirational Speaker, Starlene has touched the lives of countless individuals with her story and wisdom. Her books, Speak Through Me: The Diary of a Military Brat and I Am Her...and It's Actually Okay, have resonated deeply with readers. She is also a featured writer in the Fulfilled Devotional Bible for the Single Woman. When not writing, Starlene can be found speaking at events such as those for Methodist Mansfield Hospital, Ladies First, and the Parkinson’s Voice Project, where her heartfelt words inspire and empower audiences. Starlene’s versatile talents extend beyond her work in media. She has voiced countless commercials, books on tape, and educational videos, lending her voice to corporations, schools, and nonprofit organizations. Her work in on-hold messaging has become a signature sound for many top brands. Starlene is also known for her deep commitment to giving back to the community. For more than a decade, she volunteered as a reader for the blind and visually impaired at North Texas Taping and Radio for the Blind. She’s worked as a volunteer at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and traveled internationally on humanitarian missions to Jamaica with Food For the Poor and Ethiopia with The Bible League, where she helped oversee the construction of homes and water wells for underserved communities. A Survivor in every sense, Starlene has triumphed over personal adversity, including surviving a helicopter crash while serving as a traffic anchor for CBS-11 and KLTY-FM. Her resilience and unwavering faith continue to inspire those who hear her story. Above all, Starlene cherishes her roles as a Wife, Mom, and Community Volunteer.
