Skip passed away on July 30, 2025. He lived an amazing life full of light, laughter, and love for those around him, and did his best to Be the Light. Skip wrote three books: The Greatest Church in the World, The Greatest Disciple in the World, and Start with How Might We?: The ReVision™ Method for Innovation. All three are available on Amazon. "The Greatest Church in the World" was published in 2018, after Skip read Thom Rainer's book "Autopsy of a Deceased Church" and learned the characteristics and actions that dying churches had in common. "The Greatest Church in the World" was written to demonstrate great churches positive attributes and actions. "The Greatest Disciple in the World" was published in 2024 to help all believers and non-believers find and grow their spiritual connection. "Start with How Might We? The ReVision™ Method for Innovation" was published in 2025 to help companies learn to ask the right questions, turn problems into opportunities, and open up their minds to possibilities, leading to innovation and transformative growth. Skip grew up in Statesville, NC, and studied Radio/TV and Advertising at UNC Chapel Hill, graduating in 1975. In 1980, he left radio to start a marketing communications agency now known as CarneyCo, which is owned and operated by his daughter Jessica Carney McKnight. He created ReVision™, the process for creative problem-solving and strategic innovation. Today the agency focuses on using ReVision to help businesses grow. Skip lived to serve, and to help others serve better. He was on a mission to give away books to help as many churches and people as possible. We continue to sell books so we can give books away.
