Shirley Quiring Mozena is a writer, blogger, retreat leader, and national speaker for Stonecroft and has spoken throughout the country telling her story of hope. She has more than three-hundred followers who read her weekly blog on encouragement and hope. Widowed twice, and remarried, she lives in Vancouver, Washington. She loves the outdoors and has climbed many mountain peaks in the Pacific Northwest. Shirley has written five books, Second Chances, At Life, and Love, With Hope, Beyond Second Chances: Heartbreak to Joy, both finalists in the CCW (Cascade Christian Writers) Cascade Awards. Her third book, co-authored with her husband, James Mozena, titled Second Chance at Love: A Practical Guide to Remarriage after Loss, was a finalist in the Golden Scroll Awards and Next Generation Indie Book Awards in 2024. Her forty day devotional titled, A Trustworthy Anchor: God's Hope & Encouragement in the Storms of Life, was released on September 13, 2024, and received "Honorable Mention" from Angel Book Awards--Faith and Fellowship Book Festival, 2025. Her newest book was published November 10, 2025, Remembering Hannah: A Journey Through Loss with Hope, co-authored with Gary and Mari Malychewski. Her articles have been published in Christian magazines, and the local newspaper. Shirley and her husband Jim, are facilitators for a grief program called GriefShare, where they work with those grieving the loss of a loved one in death.
