Born in Niigata Prefecture. Representative of Sports & Science. NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist. Certified personal trainer. Lecturer at Yokohama Resort & Sports College, Yokohama YMCA Sports College, Yokohama Sports & Medical Wellness College, and Tokyo Sports & Recreation College.

After graduating from the Faculty of Letters and Sciences at Yokohama City University in 1990, he served as director and education officer at People Co., Ltd. (now Konami Sports). He then worked at Sports Programs Co., Ltd., where he was in charge of conditioning instruction for corporate teams and individual athletes. After going independent in 1996, he worked as an instructor for athletes and a lecturer at sports and medical schools, while also working in various media, including the magazine Tarzan (Magazine House).

In his more than 35 years as a professional trainer, he has trained more than 3,000 trainers and appeared in the media more than 1,500 times. Since publishing "The Fighting Athlete Textbook" (Fukushodo) in 1999, he has published and supervised many books to date. His representative work, "Muscle Training You Shouldn't Do" (Seishun Publishing), has sold over 80,000 copies, and "The World's Best Squats for Weight Loss" (Nihon Bungeisha) has sold over 220,000 copies and is currently on sale.
