Sherry Hoppen is the visionary behind She Surrenders, a transformative ministry dedicated to guiding women toward faith-based recovery. Drawing from her own journey as a Christian woman who triumphed over alcohol addiction after suffering in silence for many years, Sherry extends compassionate support through writing, speaking engagements, and personalized coaching.

With a blend of sincerity and humor, Sherry fearlessly shares her personal narrative at women’s events, Bible studies, retreats, radio interviews, and many podcasts, inspiring countless others to embrace hope and healing.

Her book, "Sober Cycle-Pedaling Through Addiction One Day At A Time" (Redemption Press April 30, 2024), candidly chronicles her battle with alcohol addiction and the profound journey towards redemption. The book also features additional insights and is available in hardcover and in Audible (recorded by the author) formats (April 30, 2024), further amplifying her impactful message. In her writing, you hear her personality shine as she tells all her stories with honesty and humor.

In partnership with her husband, Craig, Sherry recently opened the doors to Selah House Recovery. A nonprofit, 40-day faith-based rehabilitation program for women in Western Michigan. The program consists of a 30-day inpatient stay followed by 10 days of aftercare support for both her and her family. All proceeds from the sale of "Sober Cycle" contribute to this endeavor, offering vital support to women seeking liberation from the chains of addiction with the love of God.

Residing in her beloved West Michigan, Sherry's dedication extends beyond her professional endeavors. As a multifaceted writer, speaker, recovery coach, and podcaster, she continues to share her narrative across diverse platforms, fostering understanding and empowerment.

Craig and Sherry cherish their roles as parents to three adult children and grandparents to five grandchildren, finding joy in their shared pursuits. Embracing their empty-nest phase, Sherry and Craig relish in cycling paths that lead to the serenity of Michigan’s picturesque beaches, where you will find the bikes parked and the beach chair out along with a good book.
