Hi! I'm Sheri McClure-Pitler, aka S.Mac. I'm an Author/Illustrator, Artist, and Professional Doodler. I've been married for 30+ years, am the mother of 3 human children (2 daughters and a son) and 3 doggy daughters. I have a passion for the written word and a compulsion to doodle. When I was a child, my father often read aloud from books spanning Philosophy & Natural Science to The World of Faerie. Even though I couldn't understand all of the words, I was enchanted by the wondrously detailed illustrations. These, along with his rich, melodic tone cast a spell that melded the realms of Fantasy and Reality. Everything was infused with a life-spirit. Plants and animals, geographical formations, celestial bodies; they all clamored for their stories to be told! As a result, I've been filled with a life-long desire to write and illustrate. I've tried to channel this into my work, no matter the profession. As a teacher, I wrote and illustrated curriculum materials and penned a school play. In the corporate world, I had to make do with writing on-the-job manuals and doodling on whiteboards. As an artist, I create paintings, drawings, prints, hand-painted patches, wearable art, and downloadable coloring books. In 2008 I built my first website, Coloring Pages for All Ages, to allow the Doodles free rein. This provided hundreds of free coloring pages, for anyone who wanted them, as well as some relief for me! Although that website is no more, I currently maintain an online store for downloadable coloring books at https://mycommunitymade.com/store/coloring-pages-for-all-ages/. But, my overwhelming desire was to write and illustrate full-length fantasy novels—to give voice to the characters in my head, and (hopefully) inspire others to allow their imaginations to run free. To that end, I created the first book, BUMBLESTOOK, THE ACCIDENTAL WIZARD, a coming-of-age tale with a magical twist. I have since revised the first book and completed the 2nd, BUMBLESTOOK & FAIRE in THE DRAGON"S TALE. I drew many illustrations, which can be viewed on my Bumblestook Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Bumblestook). My fully illustrated, full-color children's book, THE FAIRY DOGMOTHER: BOOK 1, HONEYBEAR'S WISH, is available here on Amazon as a fun fantasy book to be read aloud to young children.
