I am originally from Connecticut but grew up in Maine. I have been a registered nurse for over 30 years; the last 23 years spent working in clinical research. I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Between my husband, Bert, and I, we have six children and eight grandchildren. Being a mom and a grandma is truly the joy of my life! I started writing when my oldest son was just a baby, but the books never got further than a box in my closet. Now retired, I am rediscovering the joy of writing. My first published book was written for my children over 25 years ago. It has been updated and undergone lots of editing, but it was a life goal to see it in print. I love spending time with the family, trail hiking, traveling and getting the most out of life. Recently I met a new goal--I successfully completed a Spartan Race. I currently live in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.
