Shannon Reed is the author of Why We Read: On Bookworms, Libraries and Just One More Page Before Lights Out (Hanover Square Press, 2024) and Why Did I Get a B?: And Other Mysteries We're Discussing in the Faculty Lounge (Atria, 2020) which was a Thurber Prize semi-finalist, a People Magazine Book of the Week, and part of the Target Reads program. Shannon's work frequently appears in The New Yorker's Daily Shouts column and on McSweeney's Internet Tendency, and has gone viral many times.
