For the Granny Jinks Series - SERENA HOLLY is the pen name for the series creator Jasmine Richards, who is the Founder of Storymix – a children’s fiction studio – and writer and Editorial Director Sareeta Domingo. They first met 15 years ago when they worked for rival companies and are passionate about creating stories that delight readers and reflect the world. SERENA HOLLY is also the pen name for the creative partnership of award-winning writers Priscilla Mante and Jasmine Richards for the title The Other Father Christmas. Priscilla Mante is the author of Jaz Santos vs. the World and Football's Hidden History. She grew up in Glasgow on a steady diet of books and football and now lives in England where she spends her time writing stories for children and adults, traveling and trying out new recipes from around the world. Jasmine Richards is the author of the Unmorrow Curse duology and a screenwriter on PJ Masks and Jo Jo and Gran Gran. As chief storyteller at Storymix she has created over twenty- five books for children and teens including Future Hero and the Aziza’s Secret Fairy Door series. Extract From The Other Father Christmas : Curtis Merriman?’ the elf asked. ‘Yes,’ Gramps replied, his forehead creased in confusion. The elf bent in a deep bow, and the bell at the end of his hat brushed the ground. As he straightened up, he stretched out his hand and a crisp embossed envelope appeared out of thin air. ‘I am pleased to inform you that you have been shortlisted for the job of Santa,’ said the elf. ‘You are now invited to undergo a series of festive challenges. The finer details are in the letter, along with all the instructions for your nearest Santa Transport Link. Good luck, Curtis Merriman!’ The elf handed the envelope to Gramps and then, pop, he disappeared, vanishing in a burst of glitter. Gramps stared at the envelope. ‘I… I don’t understand.’ Curtains along our street were twitching furiously and neighbours ventured outside to check if they really had just seen a Christmas elf disappear in a shimmering cloud of glitter. ‘Er… I should explain,’ I said, shutting the door.
