Scott Harbarger was born on April 26, 1952 in El Paso, TX, his father was an officer in the US Navy so he moved around the country until his father retired from the Navy, and they settled in Jackson, Ohio, a small town in southeastern Ohio. After High School Scott went to Ohio State University until he was drafted to the US Army in 1972 (it was the last draft class which makes me the last man drafted). After my service in 1974 I returned to Ohio State University and studied until I was infatuated with the birth of computers. I worked in Columbus, Ohio until 1989 when I moved to Sacramento, CA to be close to the rest of my family who had moved here prior. I worked at a variety of jobs in and around Sacramento, CA until I settled in at a local insurance agency where I worked my way up to manager. After I retired due to cancer in 2014, I switched to writing, and writing this book was one of the hardest things I have ever done. However, it was also one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Both my mother and father as well as my oldest brother were avid readers and being published now brings a certain amount of pride. I am currently living in a suburb of Sacramento with my wife, Luwana, and her daughter and two grandsons.
