The author is a wife, retired educator, mother, grandmother and an exercise enthusiast who is motivated by her husband, daughter, three grandsons and extended family. The inspiration for writing is attributed to her late mother who read bedtime stories to her children as they grew up. Each story was appropriate for the children's age. As a child, when the author would ask questions, her mother, a school librarian, would direct her to an encyclopedia or dictionary to find the answer. The author's childhood home was surrounded by books!

Hoping to inspire her adult daughter to write, the author wrote Sadie Goose's Surprise and used her retired colleague and friend, a journalism teacher, as a consultant. Kaye Windsor walked her through the process and provided words of encouragement and inspiration.

As a retired educator and a created spirit, the author decided to begin checking off her bucket list. Writing children's books has been at the top. The author's desire to inspire, educate, and entertain an audience of all ages with a holiday book, birthed Sadie Goose's Surprise along with a sequel, The No Goose Thanksgiving Feast.

The author has continued to write additional books that can be use to teach, inspire, and entertain. Creative juices seem to come from the Creator and guide this author's writing and storytelling. Saundra Crum's immense passion and enjoyment in a career which spanned forty years as a school counselor kindled a desire to write resource books that teaches, counselors, therapists, and families could use to encourage their clients, students, and children. Thus far, the author has written a total of four books and hopes to write many more: Sadie Goose's Surprise, The No Goose Thanksgiving Feast, The Disgruntled Ciitizens of Bakeryville, and The Greens: Not Those, But Them, Not Them, But Those.
