ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sally Lee Baker, storyteller, author, and illustrator wrote her first alliterative story using the letter “B” in a Writing for Juveniles class at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. After marrying, raising two girls, and then reading to grandchildren, she was inspired to write more alliterative stories using each letter of the alphabet. Sally has always enjoyed art and has taken a few workshops by local acrylic and watercolor artists. Using her art lessons and computer skills she illustrates each book on the laptop with the touch pad as her paintbrush. When she was library clerk at her local public school, she had many opportunities to read to students. Since completing the alphabet with alliterative stories, she has combined all into one book called "26 Alphabetical Alliterative Adventures". Her daughter, Sharon Mackey, completed the adventure by creating an audio version. Sally and her husband, Ted, have retired as missionaries from SEND International and live where they raised two daughters in Faro, Yukon Territory of Canada. Though retired, they are very involved in EMS, church, sports activities, and the local free store. "These books teach the alphabet in fun and entertaining ways by using stories which illustrate how the world can be made a better place and how we can help each other to be better and kinder." Michael McKeage.
