S. Q. Orpin writes small-town mysteries and women’s fiction set in the fictional Pacific Northwest town of Blackberry Falls. Her stories explore secrets, relationships, and the hidden histories that shape close-knit communities, where a single moment can change everything. In addition to her fiction, she develops cookbook collections inspired by her stories, blending a love of food with storytelling. She also teaches culinary arts, where creativity, structure, and craft come together in the classroom as well as on the page. She lives in California with her husband and her German Wirehair dog, Gunnar, both of whom have inspired characters in her writing.
