Ryk Brink is not a New York Times bestseller but what does that even mean? The South African-born British-bred writer, martial artist, part time prison officer and avid knife collector, graduated the University of Central Lancashire in 2011 with a BA/BSc Honours degree in Criminology with Philosophy and has done nothing but belch nonsense on the internet since then. Starting out with a series of less than stellar web comics, one a comedy odd couple pairing of Jeffrey Dahmer with a straight-laced roommate named Greg, another about a Clown Samurai in a dieselpunk universe, and then another about a schizophrenic chased by assassins as he attempts to complete eating contests in a world that was like Lovecraft, David Lynch and Hunter S. Thompson did acid together. But, after several tiring years of dealing with shiftless artsy types he decided to branch off on his own and start painting canvases with words instead of manga studio.
