Ryan Provencher grew up in Hudson, New Hampshire, where he spent most of his formative years. He then got a film and psychology degree and a theater arts minor at the University of Miami. After graduating, Ryan moved to Los Angeles to work in the film business. After coming out of the closet, he felt compelled to share that journey with others. Ryan had a very positive coming-out experience but found that self-acceptance was the real issue. After spending years mentoring individuals through the coming out process at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, Ryan decided to write his first novel, "Thine Own Self," a BEST SELLER on Amazon. His second novel, The Obit Writer, is available now in hardback, paperback, and Kindle. Ryan lives in Los Angeles with his husband, Scott, and his two dogs, Bert and Ernie.
