Russ is the Chief People Officer of Goodwater Capital where is is helping both Goodwater and their portfolio companies to build world class teams and ensure people are motivated and empowered to do great work. Prior to joining Goodwater, Russ spent over four years at Qualtrics as Chief People Officer. Prior to Qualtrics, Russ spent seven years at Google and four years at Twitter in go-to-market management roles. Russ is a former US Marine Corps company commander and co-founder of Candor, Inc., alongside best-selling author Kim Scott. Russ is also the author of the book, When They Win, You Win, devoted to sharing a leadership approach which measurably and predictably delivers 1) more engaged employees and 2) better business results. Russ brings a unique perspective on the relationship between the employee experience and company results. Russ holds a B.S. from the University of South Carolina (#SpursUp 🤙🏽) and an MBA from The Wharton School.
