Dr. Rosemary Tripi Wong is an educator, author, publisher, and philanthropist dedicated to improving teaching and student achievement. From Louisiana, she began her career as an elementary teacher in the East Baton Rouge Parish Schools. In 1976, she met Dr. Harry K. Wong, and together they began a lifelong mission to help teachers create effective classrooms where students can thrive.
Rosemary earned her undergrad degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, a Master of Education from LSU, and her doctorate from Brigham Young University. As CEO of Harry K. Wong Publications, she has led the development of influential educational resources and is co-author of THE First Days of School, now in its fifth edition with more than 4.5 million copies sold.
She has written more than 100 articles, produced award-winning educational videos, developed online professional learning, and presented internationally. Her honors include multiple Distinguished Alumnus Awards, the Silicon Valley Woman of Influence Award, and the Upton Sinclair Award. She is also president of The First Days of School Foundation, which has founded and supports a school of over 1000 students in Cambodia.
