I utilized the rich history, architecture, grit and glam of the city of New London, Connecticut to tell my tale and host a murder. For the research, I visited all the locations my sleuthing characters and detectives travel through to track the villains, including Mystic and New Haven, CT, Boston, MA, and Long Island, NY. I investigated poisonous plants, and wine pairing dinners, museums, artist's galleries, and historical sites. I also read plenty of non-fiction works to make my modern-day mysteries believable and entertaining.
