Born in Southern California, I joined the Air Force after high school and experienced a mid-West winter for the first time. A culture shock, but I managed to finish my bachelor's degree at the University of North Georgia before moving back to California. I finished my master's degree at California State University, Long Beach and taught middle school and high school social science before retiring in 2021. I have two daughters and five grandchildren (yes, the dedication in A Very Fine House is to my grandkids). I live in Huntington Beach, California, and A Very Fine House is my first novel.
