I was prompted to write Prince George and Master Frederick after investigating a story that my family was connected, in some way, with King George III, the English king who famously 'lost' the American colonies and also went mad. What the world does not know is that, in 1765, he and Queen Charlotte adopted a little boy, Frederick Blomberg, and brought him up as a prince with their own children. Frederick forged a close friendship with Prince George, future regent and King George IV, and remained involved with the royal family all his life. Investigating the story opened up such intriguing revelations about Frederick that I felt compelled to write it as a novel. My career began in book publishing and arts publicity. I promoted the London Philharmonic Orchestra and several high profile charities, including Great Ormond Street Hospital. I later became a director at a PR consultancy and worked in the world of design and the arts. In recent years I've become an artist specialising in paper collage and sell my work. I'm so delighted that Janet Weitz, Publishing Director of Alliance Publishing Press saw the potential in this book and took it on. There's been a lot of work behind the scenes with editing and decision making but it's great to see that publication day is now in sight. I hope you will enjoy the book!
