Ronald T. Waldo is a baseball historian and author whose latest book titled, "Deadball Trailblazers: Single-Season Records of the Modern Era," chronicles single-season records achieved by players during the Deadball Era. A lifetime resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who has written nine books about baseball history, Mr. Waldo's first book, titled "Fred Clarke: A Biography of the Baseball Hall of Fame Player-Manager," was released in 2010. He has also written a biography about Hazen "Kiki" Cuyler, a compilation of stories regarding the life and career of Honus Wagner, and team relevant books on the 1902 Pittsburgh Pirates, 1925 Pittsburgh Pirates, and 1938 Pittsburgh Pirates. With most of his works devoted to the Deadball Era and the Roaring Twenties, Mr. Waldo has also written two books containing interesting and humorous stories from those periods. The Society for American Baseball Research's Deadball Era Committee has selected "Deadball Trailblazers: Single-Season Records of the Modern Era," as a finalist for the 2023 Larry Ritter Award.
